How To Help
The Jane Goodall Institute of Canada needs your help to continue our efforts to protect critical habitat for chimpanzees and other Great Apes in Africa, to work with local African communities to improve their lives, and to empower young people around the world to take positive action to improve their communities. It is people like you who are committed to making this world a better place, that make it possible for us to make a significant difference for people, animals and the environment.

Every individual has a role to play
- A monthly gift of $20 supports Canadian Roots & Shoots groups, giving them the tools to learn, care and act on local environmental and humanitarian issues and to connect to other groups around the world.
- A gift of $50 provides three days worth of food, shelter and care for an orphaned chimp in one of the African sanctuaries supported by JGI.
- A gift of $1,000 can help provide a scholarship to a Tanzanian orphan and break the cycle of poverty.
- A leadership gift of $5,000 protects wild chimpanzees in Uganda's Budongo, Kibale or Kalinzu forests from being maimed or killed by snares or illegal poaching for one year. Not only does this protect chimpanzees and other wildlife, it provides vital employment opportunities for nearby villagers.
Every individual makes a difference
Thank you for your support!
